Q: During the StuffIt Expander(tm) for Windows installation process under Windows 95(tm), the following message appears: "The Program Group StuffIt could not be created...". The installation process then aborts. Is there a workaround? A: Yes. When the installation process begins, a dialog appears and prompts you to "Please select a Program Manager Group to be created or to add StuffIt Expander to." By default, "StuffIt" appears in the edit box. As a workaround, delete "StuffIt" and leave this box empty. This will bypass the automatic creation of the program group. When you are done installing, you can manually create your own program group. Please refer to your Windows 95 documentation or contact Microsoft(tm) for instructions on how to create a program group.
