Wave Dancers

This 8-inch bronze is the maquette (study) for the 5-foot sculptures at the entrance to the Mirage in Las Vegas. It was my first effort with the subject, and I spent a great deal of time at the observation tanks of Marine World/Africa USA in Vallejo, California, snapping pictures, drawing, and creating wax "sketches." It was a pleasure to be able to sculpt from life. What marvelous creatures!
